People looking for an exciting new challenge, after spending months on furlough or being made redundant, have the chance to be the first in the UK to snap-up a new business opportunity.

Franchise industry experts from the Lincolnshire-based Runo Group today had good news for would-be entrepreneurs and others who are thinking of going self-employed - as they launched a new brand countrywide after recently becoming the Master Franchisor for a Spanish company in the UK and Ireland.

Runo-HLC Director Julie Taylor said:

“Increasing numbers of people are attracted to franchise industry opportunities and many dream of running their own well-known brand enterprise.

“We’re thrilled that we have the job of rolling-out Hairdressers Low Cost (HLC) franchises and we are aiming to help create 100 new salons over the next decade. We are so confident in this brand, my fellow directors have already hit the ground running by identifying 250 potential locations they feel would be ideal for salons.”

For those who haven’t heard of this particular brand, HLC is already well-established in Europe, having 600 salons in Spain and others in Italy and Germany.

“Salons operate on a “no appointments” system and the model is quite flexible. It offers a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wants to own and work in their own business, or to simply own and manage a salon and employ stylists. The company has its own product range which offers the business owner added value,”

said Julie.

Investors who base their new business in suitably sized premises could also decide to offer beauty therapies alongside their hairdressing services.

Runo Group and its sister business Franchise Resales are based in Leadenham but work countrywide.

Runo Operations Director Andy Hulbert said:

“The Runo team has a vast knowledge of the franchise sector. When HLC contacted us about their expansion plans we were keen to get involved.

“The company initially wanted us to find them franchisees on an individual basis but, as a sister to Franchise Resales, we knew we had a wealth of expertise and it was great when persuaded them to let us become their Master Franchisor for the UK and Ireland.”

Runo firmly believes its success in becoming a Master Franchisor for what is a relatively low-cost brand has created a win-win opportunity for the company and ambitious entrepreneurs in search of a fresh start.
