Footdown, a leading intelligence platform provider for organisational sensemaking, has announced the appointment of Mark Quartermaine as Executive Chairman and Chris Evans as Board Member.

These appointments are driven by Footdown’s shift towards the software space and aim to help the company accelerate its growth and support increasing customer demand.

Footdown has also moved its headquarters to Bristol & Bath Science Park – a rapidly developing tech hotbed offering many growth opportunities which will enable the company to scale up at a fast pace.

Mike Roe, CEO Footdown, comments:

“Footdown is experiencing fast growth and we always strive to offer the best services to our growing customer portfolio.

It is of paramount importance for us to keep pace with current market trends and satisfy our customers’ demands and needs.

For this we brought on board Mark and Chris who will provide a fresh perspective and a wealth of expertise to the great benefit of Footdown’s team and customers.”

Mark Quartermaine joins Footdown with over 30 years’ experience in the ICT industry in a variety of executive, sales and marketing roles.

Having started his career at IBM in varied executive roles both in the UK and abroad, Mark subsequently worked at BT Global Services as UK President and more recently as the CEO at both Azzurri and Alternative Networks.

With Alternative Networks recently sold to Daisy, and having helped manage a successful transition, Mark left the group in May 2017.

Chris Evans has over 30 years’ experience as a Director, CEO and Chairman of listed, mutual and private-equity owned multinationals in the UK, Europe and Asia.

With a strong record of strategy execution and business growth, Chris’s key areas of expertise are supporting turn-around, high growth and challenger businesses, optimising human capital and managing risks.

Mike Roe, CEO Footdown, says:

“I’ve worked with Mark for over five years in his previous two roles as CEO.

His track record, leadership and experience in the world of software and organisational development have made his appointment as Executive Chairman for Footdown a real coup.”

He continues:

“From the first moment I met Chris I realised that he could help us accelerate growth and enjoy long term success.

Having been the CEO and built Retirement Advantage for ten years, he quickly understood and appreciated the power and impact of F1.1. I am looking forward to working with Chris as we build new client opportunities and take Footdown to new horizons,”
