Ferris Slater, a cyber security recruitment & cyber security training provider based in the North West UK, have been awarded funding of £30,000 by Rosebud, a subsidiary of Lancashire County Council and the EU Development Fund.

The funding will be invested to drive growth across both Ferris Slater’s cyber security recruitment and cyber security training services. It will create further rewarding and high paying employment positions in the county of Lancashire.

This funding will be building on an established foundation of success which includes beautiful offices, an established team, established clients, and a large network of contacts in the UK cyber security sector.

Speaking about the funding, Jonathan Slater, Managing Director & Founder, said;

“There’s a serious shortage of skilled cyber security professionals in the UK and we initially set out to offer a mature headhunting service. But, that doesn’t solve the UK’s problem, it simply moves the skilled individuals around. By delivering cyber security training to both professionals and businesses, we’re helping bridge the cyber security skills shortage. This added capability also marries up with our headhunting service, allowing us to offer delegates career consultancy and make introductions to potential employers on their behalf. ”

Ferris Slater’s cyber security training subsidiary will be named ‘ACT’ (Accelerated Cyber Training) and their first training programs include the following;

- CISMP (foundational certificate in information security management principles)

- Introduction to Cyber Security for Business Leaders

- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
