Dusting off the red book: what can we expect from the 2017 Autumn Budget?

If you’re keen to find out how you or your business could be affected by any changes to the latest Budget, join us for the low-down – and get your questions ready.

Rachel Sestini, Managing Director of tax and business consultancy, Sestini & Co, will be briefing you on the Autumn Budget. This seminar takes place the day after the Budget announcement, so you’ll be in the know as soon as you need to be.

It's been widely reported that a shake-up on stamp duty and pensions will be unveiled on the 22nd November, as part of chancellor Philip Hammond’s Budget.

Are you looking to buy? Have you found that the large stamp duty fees have made it difficult for you?

There has been talk of switching stamp duty liability from the buyer to the seller, which would help first-time buyers on to the ladder, and would mean those who are upsizing would only need to pay stamp duty on the lower-priced house they are selling.

According to the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), this would help mobility at all levels.

But would this help you?

And it’s not just stamp duty in the pipeline for possible shake ups. The talk of changing the pension tax relief from the current 40 per cent for higher-rate payers, and 20 per cent for basic-rate payers, to a flat rate of 33 per cent, will not go down well with middle earners.

Where are you, and how might this affect your take-home each month?

Come along to the seminar to find out what changes have actually been put in place and how they could affect you.
