A leading West Midlands based insurance provider has appointed a new regional account manager for the North West and Yorkshire.

Ian Barnett Cert CII has taken up the role at the independent MGA.

He has a wealth of experience, having been in the insurance industry for 15 years. He started out at Personal Assurance, before moving into commercial.

Ian spent the last 10 years at Bollington Underwriting as Business Development Manager for their panel of brokers across the UK, with responsibility for managing and developing both existing and new broker agencies.

Following his appointment, Ian said:

“I’m delighted to be here, serving our brokers across what are my ‘home’ regions.

“I am looking forward to meeting all of our brokers and working together to strengthen our relationships. The rest of this year is set to be a very exciting one for Commercial Express, and I’m looking forward to sharing our plans.

Ian, from Lancashire, officially took up his position on 10 June, and will be covering the North West and Yorkshire region of the UK.
