Celebrating A Special Milestone

Recruitment experts are celebrating their 15th Anniversary and toasting a twelve-fold growth in business since starting out - with current annual sales now topping £12 million.

The team at Red Recruitment 24:7, which is headquartered in Lincoln (with branches in Scunthorpe and Gainsborough) is in upbeat mood despite months of operating against the backdrop of Covid-19 and the upheaval of Brexit.

Managing Director Mark Morley said:

“We are delighted to have worked with long-standing and new clients throughout and thrilled to have recently won new contracts for the supply of temporary and permanent staff.

“We acknowledge the fact that many businesses have experienced a major upheaval in adapting to the “Brexit effect.” For instance, a leisure client found themselves having to pay an extra £900 per container being shipped and that had a knock-on effect on their client who had already committed to that purchase. Others lost valuable loads of fresh perishable goods which needed to cross borders."

“For some the furlough scheme has really helped. Others have said it has hindered the return of their staff,”

said Mark.

Of course, the initial lockdown was for up to three months and no-one could have predicted that would eventually result in more than a year of restrictions.

“Changes to the scheme are imminent and every day companies are exploring whether to call employees back into the workplace or allow them to enjoy a mixture of going into work and working from home.”

Red Recruitment 24:7 offers the temp to permanent supply of staff to clients in a wide range of sectors – from food processing to packaging, retail, warehousing, manufacturing, mechanical and electrical engineering and the commercial/office sector.

“Our diversity and the fact that we have been determined to keep talking and supporting our clients throughout the challenges of the past year has helped us to stay strong and successful,”

said Mark.

“The volume of enquiries we are handling as the Covid-19 restrictions continue to be lifted, is amazing. What is particularly noticeable is that many firms are not only asking us to supply large numbers of workers, but they are also desperate to take them on as soon as possible.

“Whilst this creates its own challenges, it is encouraging to see clients expressing their confidence for the future,”

added Mark.

Red Recruitment’s latest contracts include a call to fill 160 vacancies across two companies – a food manufacturer and a packaging manufacturer. Together the annual wages bill is worth £4.2 million.

A separate company, which manufactures packaging and components, has asked Red Recruitment 24:7 to fill 143 vacancies.
