Gowercroft Joinery MD is appointed to the Executive Board of the Confederation of Timber Industries

Andrew Madge, Managing Director of Alfreton based timber window and door manufacturer, Gowercroft Joinery, has been appointed to the board of the UK’s primary trade organisation promoting the role of the timber supply chain in the economy.


The Confederation of Timber Industries (CTI) represents producers, manufacturers and distributors across the entire supply chain and speaks for the timber industry as a whole in matters relating to jobs and skills, quality control, economic growth and environmental protection.


In his new role, Andrew will be acting on behalf of the British Woodworking Federation (BWF), where he is also sits on the Executive Board, to ensure that that its 700-strong membership is well supported and represented in key areas.


Andrew Madge said:

As we move towards a low carbon economy, I believe that the CTI and the BWF together will play a vitally important role in ensuring that the use of timber and timber products remains at the top of the agenda and the natural choice for specifiers, designers and constructors.”
