Cheshire-based Abbey England, market-leading wholesale supplier of premium British-made materials and tools, is delighted to have been shortlisted in this year’s High Sheriff Awards for Enterprise in the ‘Family Business Award of Excellence’ category. The awards will be presented by the High Sheriff of Cheshire, Mark Mitchell, at an event at Chester Racecourse later this month.

This prestigious shortlisting follows a host of business accolades this year, including the business winning the Family Business category of Business Masters Awards, and shortlistings for North West Family Business Award (Retailers & Wholesalers) and North West Family Business Award (Manufacturing & Engineering Retailers).

The High Sheriff's Awards for Enterprise were originally introduced in 2006 by the then High Sheriff of Cheshire, David Briggs, MBE KStJ to recognise outstanding achievements by enterprises in Cheshire, Halton and Warrington. The awards have grown to become Cheshire's prime business awards event and the Family Business award recognises leaders of outstanding entrepreneurial families and the achievements of specific family businesses.
