EEF launches its new specialist engineering club, The Engineering Exchange, to enable businesses come to try out its state-of-the-art machinery and technologies.

The Engineering Exchange is a new drop-in club which has been set up to support manufacturing and engineering organisations in the Midlands.

Businesses of all sizes will have the chance to learn first-hand and try out the very latest CNC machines which deliver the most technically advanced automation in the operation of machine tools, alongside robotics, and Lean Manufacturing.

There is also a fully-equipped automated factory as part of the new facility.

The engineering club, which will run on the first Tuesday evening of every month from 5pm-8pm, is also an ideal opportunity for SME businesses to come and speak to our wide range of highly skilled tutors about upcoming projects in their organisations and to get advice on equipment, products and training.

Each month there will be a talk on a specific topic from an industry expert, giving companies the chance to ask the expert and learn best practice from other likeminded businesses. Planned themes include; 4IR, Lean manufacturing, and robotics.

Neil Withey, EEF Technical Training Centre Director, said:

“We are very excited about this new facility which delivers the very best in technological advancements directly to businesses and enables them to try them out for themselves.

The idea of the club is that businesses can also learn from each other as well as get the best advice on application and delivery from EEF experts.”

The launch event on 3rd October is free to attend for all from 5pm-8pm – and to book for this event please email; asevents@eef.org.uk

Thereafter, the events are free for EEF members and £99 plus VAT for non-members. To book for other events in the series please click here.
