A Bristol-based brewery celebrating 15 years in the trade will show Metro Mayor Dan Norris how they are going green and cutting their energy bills thanks to a grant from the West of England Combined Authority led by the Metro Mayor.

The Metro Mayor will toast craft specialists Moor Beer (Wednesday at 11am, Days Road, Bristol BS2 0QS) when he meets director Maryann Hawke for a tour of its brewery and tap room. He will learn more about the brewing process before attempting, like many politicians before him, to pour the perfect pint.

Prior to his stint behind the bar, Mr Norris will learn how the birthday brewers have been able to install solar panels thanks to £15,000 of funding from the Combined Authority, which he leads. As well as cutting their energy usage by a fifth, it is estimated that this will save them over £5000 annually on their energy bills.
