Ramboll relocates 60 staff to new Manchester base

International design, engineering and environmental consultancy, Ramboll, has relocated its 60-strong team to the landmark Grade II Listed Arkwright House in Manchester city centre.

Situated in a prominent position overlooking the prestigious Parsonage Gardens, off Deansgate, Arkwright House has recently undergone a £16 million refurbishment. Since announcing the decision to relocate the Manchester team to Arkwright House last year, Ramboll and the wider project team have been working to complete the internal fit-out of the 7,000 sq ft penthouse office suite ready for occupation in June.

Mathew Riley, Managing Director for Ramboll, said:

“With its floor to ceiling glazing and fantastic views across the city, Arkwright House was the natural choice for our new Manchester base and reflects our continued growth and investment in the area. The project team for our move, managed by Colliers International, has worked hard to understand our requirements as a business and cater for the needs of our people, creating an environment which will support the productivity and growth of our business.”

Jonathan Stirzaker-Philips, Project Manager at Colliers International, added:

“Ramboll chose the penthouse floor of this prestigious office building, so the fit-out had to match up to its impressive surroundings. Working closely with Ramboll and interior designers, Paragon, we oversaw the creation of a space with a ‘Scandi-cool’ aesthetic which fits perfectly with Ramboll’s Scandinavian heritage and the energy of their local team.”

Colliers International also advised Ramboll in the deal which see the firm taking a 10-year lease on the Grade A space.
