2,000% Growth Surge For Manchester Sanitiser Firm Helping Fight Against Covid-19

Manchester-based, OneSpray, which is supplying surface sanitiser for TfL’s full fleet as it works to keep passengers safe from Covid-19, has seen a 2,000% increase in turnover this year.

Founded in 2018, the business had grown steadily but saw a huge surge in demand after the outbreak of Covid-19 prompted a sharp rise in interest for the business’ high efficacy products.

With the support of a six-figure working capital facility from Lloyds Bank, OneSpray has since grown its turnover by almost 2000% during 2020 and has secured a number of high-profile contracts including with aviation services firm Swissport, within the care home sector and as part of the supply chain for Transport for London (TfL).

TfL uses OneSpray’s surface sanitiser across its entire fleet of more than 600 Tube trains, London Underground stations, Dial-a-Ride fleet, Victoria Coach Station and 33 of its key bus stations as part of efforts to keep commuters safe.

The product was chosen due to its highly effective, long-lasting properties. In independent laboratory testing on London Tubes, sanitised surfaces were found to be ‘near sterile’ with no presence of coronavirus or E. coli detected, even after up to 30 days of normal passenger use, with good cleaning practices.

Similar testing also found OneSpray’s hand sanitiser to be effective for up to 24 hours from initial use.

Both products use Zoono technology, involving the application of small molecules to a surface, where they form covalent bonds and leave a series of microscopic pins that attract, pierce and destroy all bacteria and pathogens which come into contact with the surface.

OneSpray distributes innovative and technologically advanced cleaning products that provide up to 99.99% protection for the skin and surfaces against all known germs throughout the UK and internationally.

Marc Braterman, CEO at OneSpray, said:

Mark Williamson, relationship director at Lloyds Bank, said:

“OneSpray has had an important role to play throughout this pandemic by providing essential products and services to its customers.
