The Belfry Hotel & Resort is once again picking up a prestigious award after being named ‘The Best Golf Hotel/Resort’ for England East, as voted for by readers of the UK’s No.1 golf magazine, Today’s Golfer.

The Today’s Golfer Travel Awards – widely known as the Oscars of the golf travel industry – offer golfers from across the UK the chance to vote for their favourite golfing venues based on conditioning, service and other key ingredients that contribute towards a memorable break or golf day out. Up against other leading resorts in the region, The Belfry was voted the nation’s favourite in the East of England, adding to a host of other awards it has picked up in recent times.

“We’re thrilled to have won this award and would like to thank all of Today’s Golfer’s readers who voted for us,”

said The Belfry’s Resort Director James Stewart.

“As the spiritual home of the Ryder Cup, we are challenged every day to ensure the quality and service we provide at the resort is world class,” added Stewart. “We’ve made a number of big strides over the past 12 months or so, particularly in terms of our service, which was rated as the third best in Europe by 59club last year.”

Meanwhile, Today’s Golfer editor Chris Jones said:

“The Belfry continues to provide the benchmark as a golfing destination and this recent award further proves the fantastic work being done right across the resort.”

The Belfry Hotel & Resort has also enjoyed a number of other notable successes recently. At the World Travel Awards in 2017, it was named ‘England’s Leading Conference Hotel’, whilst at the World Golf Awards ceremony towards the end of last year, The Belfry picked up no fewer than three accolades, including ‘Europe’s Best Golf Hotel’, ‘England’s Best Golf Hotel’ and ‘England’s Best Golf Course’.
