The Love Wine Team is delighted to announce that Helen Lederer will be this years’guest host at Birmingham’s premier wine festival.
“When I got the call from Love Wine to party with them this year I positively flushed with excitement. To attend a special event with wine lovers, erudite Masters of Wine as well as wine enthusiasts...is my idea of liquid heaven. 'What took you so long?' is what I wanted to say.. instead I said 'Yes please!”
Helen is probably best known for her role as the dippy Catriona inAbsolutely Fabulous, although to many she is recognised for her unique wit and observational humour. As a comedy writer she has an extensive portfolio that includes writing and performing her own material. Most recently her pen has been dipped in a glass-shaped inkwell as the wine columnist for theSunday ExpressandGlass of Bubblypublication, putting her recently achieved wine qualifications to good use.
Helen will be indulging her love of wine by taking visitors on fun, witty and absolutely fabulous wine walks. She has quite a path to follow with over200 wines to taste from 35 exhibitors:multi-award winning wine merchants, well travelled bottles from Bordeaux to Brazil,family wine producers, Champagne houses, wine education, wine tourism and wine accessories. In fact everything needed to Love Wine under one roof!
This year Love Wine will also play host toGood Housekeeping Magazineand theGH Institute. They will be giving visitors the opportunity to see if they have what it takes to blind taste wine like a professional.
In addition to the above,Love Wine will once again offer visitors an exciting programme ofLove-In Masterclasses.
Love Wine 2016 will take place onSaturday 5thNovember at the Burlington Hotel, Birmingham City Centre. There are two sessions available, with tickets starting at£20.00* which includes entry into the festival, Love-In Masterclasses (first come, first served basis), a Riedel tasting glass to take home and a goody bag.
