Home to the UK’s largest escape room venue, Locked In A Room has relocated and upsized to new premises at Bristol’s Harbourside.

The company has taken a 7,500 sq ft first floor unit overlooking Millennium Square, part of Canada Life Investments’ Harbourside development, on a new 10 year lease.

Locked In A Room will initially house 12 escape rooms, the largest venue in Bristol. It currently operates sites at ExCel, London and 12th Street, Milton Keynes.

Andrew MacLaren, Fund Manager at Canada Life Investments commented:

“This is great news for Harbourside and is another reason to visit this vibrant waterfront location. The escape room concept started as a Japanese craze and has really taken off in the UK becoming a very popular activity in the competitive socialising world.”

Jon Pfaff, Managing Director of Locked In A Room commented:

“We are gathering a reputation for being significantly additive to our food and beverage neighbours because of our existing relationship with the higher spending corporate client base. Bristol Harbourside is a superb location in a city that we are already established in and is a fantastic fit to our debt free and organically growing portfolio. We will be announcing further significant and carefully selected openings in the near future.”

Cushman & Wakefield, JLL & Insight Retail advised Canada Life Investments, whilst AGL advise Locked In A Room.
