And the winner is….Meet Bristol wins Best UK Convention Bureau in national awards
Destination Bristol’s conference team, Meet Bristol, has won Best UK Convention Bureau at the Conference and Hospitality Show (CHS) awards in Leeds last week.
Meet Bristol was shortlisted alongside Conference Leeds before winning the award announced at a black-tie dinner at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on June 6.
The fifth CHS Awards, sponsored this year by OEC Sheffield, recognises the best operators and individuals in the UK’s meetings, events and incentive travel sector. The awards’ 22 categories include Best Hotel Group, Best Academic Venue, Best Onsite Technology Offering and Lifetime Achievement award.

Meet Bristol Convention Bureau was rebranded and revitalised in 2017 and has grown from what was originally perceived a venue finding service to a one-stop shop for event planners and agents bringing business to the region, offering concise multi-venue proposals with negotiated rates, provision of bid documents, bespoke accommodation booking websites, discounts from travel partners and destination familiarisation trips.
Meet Bristol is currently working with some of the city’s largest International events including the Encounters Film Festival and the Anthropology and Technology Conference. The CHS award is icing on the cake for Bristol which recently won the bid for the UKInbound Conference for 2020.
