Holiday website Caravan Sitefinder says it is now "bullet-proof" against surging demand following the recent expansion of the business at its Bristol HQ in Ham Green.

The company, the UK's largest online directory of camping, glamping and holiday parks, has invested in extra staff and new technology to service staycation-hungry customers.

Departments dedicated to park client liaison, customer service, marketing and sales have all been strengthened with experienced new personnel.

The Caravan Sitefinder website, which is used by around one million visitors each year, has also been reinforced to cope with escalating visitor numbers.

A new telecom system has additionally been installed to ensure that customers and holiday parks will be able to maintain ease of access during even the busiest periods.

According to CEO Michael Paul, the now completed expansion work is already proving its value as bookings in March run at over twice the same month's figures last year.

"We anticipated that this would happen as soon as the starting pistol was fired for customers to be able to commit with certainty to UK holidays this year,"

said Michael.

"However, we won't have to be dodging any bullets as we now have everything in place to service park clients and holiday guests smoothly and seamlessly.

"As our website covers over 6,000 holiday parks, we needed to ensure there would be no risk of it crashing under the weight of visitors, and this has now been done.

"However, the most important ambition of our expansion was to recruit new team members, and I'm delighted that we were able to attract so many high-quality applicants.

"Each individual has brought valuable new skills and expertise to the business, and are already ensuring that our parks make the most of the new staycation opportunities,"

said Michael.

The new key appointees to Caravan Sitefinder and its consultancy division are:
