Altrincham’s newest restaurant, Bistrot Pierre is already proving popular with locals after securing solid bookings for its first month of trading.

The independently-owned French restaurant group, located on Stamford Quarter’s George Street, opened its doors today (2 December), serving seasonal menus including Confit de canard, the bestselling Boeuf bourguignon maison and, of course, steak frites.

After a major renovation, the two-floor restaurant has space for 170 diners, impressive floor to ceiling windows, stunning French-styled interiors, a bar area and outside seating.

Rob Beacham, co-owner for Bistrot Pierre said: “It’s an exciting time for us to be opening in Altrincham. With the festive season well underway, we’re excited to be located in the Stamford Quarter at the heart of shopping and a revival of the town’s food and drink scene.

“We are pleased to be open on Christmas Day with several people having already made us their choice – which is great to hear.

“The feedback from locals has been really positive and our team is excited about serving the delicious dishes we have to offer within our beautiful French-styled interiors.

“There are lots of new and exciting businesses coming to Altrincham, so we’re happy to have invested into the town and create 30 new jobs for the area.”

This is the group’s seventeenth bistrot to open, closest to the Stockton Heath bistrot which has been open for five years.

Experienced general manager, Katie Salisbury will be leading the team at Altrincham, joined by head chef Hamid Maiden.

John Whitehead, co-owner of the business added: “Our bistrots offer something for everyone. We have a bar menu available in the bar area and will be open for breakfast. As a foodie destination, I’m sure locals will be interested in our six-course dinner on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month for just £22.95.

“Just like a traditional bistrot, we update our lunch menus monthly and twice a year we change our seasonal À la carte menus. Our pre théâtre menus are very popular and Menu Enfant is perfect for families, including a 12-page French themed activity pack to keep little ones entertained.”

Bistrot Pierre’s ‘raison d’être’ is great value French cooking and seasonal menus; combining French bistrot classics with regional favourites.

The group, founded in Nottingham in 1994, provides customers with great value authentic French food anytime of the day.

All dishes are freshly prepared by chefs, using a mix of artisan produce and carefully-sourced ingredients. Open seven-days-a-week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner menus which include gluten-free dishes as well as a child-friendly menu.

The privately-owned restaurant group currently has 17 bistrots across the UK in Altrincham Bath, Birmingham, Cardiff, Derby, Harrogate, Ilkley, Leicester, Leamington Spa, Newport, Nottingham, Sheffield, Stockton Heath, Stratford, Plymouth, Torquay and Weston-super-Mare.
