The Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare has the ideal solution to beat any post-festive January blues – an early bird offer if you book tickets for next Christmas.
The seafront attraction enjoyed a very successful past few weeks, with an impressive increase of 33% in visitors who enjoyed Christmas events there compared to the previous year.
Ten party nights were complete sell-outs and people have already started snapping up tickets for next year.
The Grand Pier is promising the “greatest show” yet for Christmas 2019, as the Great Hall takes on a ‘Spectacular Spectacular’ theme, inspired by The Greatest Showman and Moulin Rouge, with live music and specially themed performances.
Event Manager Hollie Otley said:
“We have already started taking bookings for next year, which is very encouraging. “Better still, bookings made for Christmas 2019 before 31 January can claim a 10 percent discount, so you can banish any January blues by putting a date in the diary for Christmas 2019, and save money!”
The first party evening is 6 December, but there are various dates throughout the month. A £10 deposit per person is required by 31 January in order to qualify for the discount. Contact the Pier events team on events@grandpier.co.uk or call 01934 646 155 for more information.

“We also had a successful festive Fireworks At Sea event, too, because the tide times aligned nicely to enable us to do it, which doesn’t happen every year. “This attracted a good number of visitors and we’re planning another one on Sunday 29 December this year.
“We had some fantastic feedback from people who attended our 2018 festive events, which we are very grateful for.
“We always aim to create memorable events for people as part of their Christmas and New Year celebrations, and it’s very rewarding for us when we receive such positive comments.
“We’re getting more innovative in creating our concepts and themes, and have set the bar high but are always happy to face the challenge of trying to make next year’s events even more memorable.”

“I just thought that I’d feedback to you after the Wonderland Christmas Party which we attended on the 21st December. It was the first time that we’d chosen the Pier for our annual Christmas party and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The entertainment & service were very good and on time. I liked the fact that the entertainment included the audience, it added an element that we hadn’t experienced at other venues.”
“Really enjoyed this event, it was one of the best new year eves we have ever had! The live music in particular was very, very good. Everyone seemed to have a brilliant time. The most impressive thing, however, was that when we visited the pier the next morning, what was the ballroom the previous night was now back to business as usual as an amusement arcade. It was an amazing transformation in only a few hours. The staff who work at the pier are excellent and very hardworking. Well done!”
“Fabulous night tickets were worth every penny, food was good and service very prompt. Entertainment was excellent, great party atmosphere we even had bacon/sausage baps to soak up the alcohol after midnight. Started the evening sharing a table with people we didn’t know but they were so friendly and funny they helped to make our night even more special.”
