‘Our Manchester International Festival Collection’ : a bespoke cocktail menu inspired by the iconic festival

Manchester’s award-winning Peter Street Kitchen is proud to be a Gold Supporter of Manchester International Festival and will be celebrating the seventh biennial Festival with a carefully curated cocktail menu, inspired by some of this year’s most innovative artists, available throughout the event, from 4th – 21st July.

Drawing on the 18 extraordinary days of world premieres and special events taking place across the city, the unique menu offers a trio of beautifully crafted beverages.

'Mulholland Drive’ (£11) takes inspiration from the works of pioneering American artist, musician and director David Lynch, who will be taking over HOME for the duration of the festival. Offering an unusual yet wonderful concoction of Nikka Coffey vodka, Maraschino syrup, cranberry, lime and prosecco, this cocktail conjures the Lynchian spirit and one of contemporary culture’s most radical and visionary thinkers.

‘Trails of Vapour’ (£9.50) draws on the interactive art environment of Rafael Lozano-Hemmer’s Atmospheric Memory at the Science and Industry Museum. Exploring the ‘beautiful tumult’ of the air we breathe, this striking cocktail combines Nikka Coffey whisky, Antica, Campari and Aperol.

‘City of Gold’(£9.50)recreates the fantastical worlds brought to life by the words of Marco Polo in Invisible Cities, a spellbinding mix of theatre, choreography, music, architectural design and cultural mapping. An exotic tipple of Jinzu gin, yuzu sake, orange juice, lemon juice, orange bitters and egg white, this cocktail invokes the celestial city of Beersheba and the vast and spectacular empire of the legendary Kublai Khan.

The menu will be available at Peter Street Kitchen from Thursday 4th to Sunday 21st July.
