The team at Albert’s restaurant in West Didsbury are offering one lucky winner the chance to name a cocktail after their Mum this Mothers’ Day on 31st March. Whether it be a Brenda, Bella or even Mrs Brown – a fabulous Didsbury Gin cocktail will be named in honour of a local Mum. The winner will be invited to toast the big day with her cocktail on Mothering Sunday!
The restaurant has undergone the ‘mother of all makeovers’ and will be open with a stunning new look on 15th March, in good time for Mother’s Day.
To celebrate all the fabulous Mums who make the community in Didsbury and beyond so special Albert’s have launched this one-off competition.
The Albert’s Mother’s Day cocktail will be a Didsbury Gin collaboration inspired by the winner’s Mum, as well as seasonal and local flavours and the botanical beauty of Didsbury Gin - making it the ultimate local Mother’s Day cocktail.
To be in with a chance of winning, Albert’s fans just need to follow Albert’s on one of their social channels (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram) and tag their Mum as well as comment to say why she deserves to have the cocktail named after her. If the Mum in question isn’t on social media then no matter, just naming her and telling Albert’s why she deserves to win the competition will count as your entry.
The new-look Albert’s will have its own new destination bar area featuring new booths, and pre-bookable party tables too. The new bar menu will feature an array of new craft beers and cocktails, including a collaboration with local gin superstars and neighbours Didsbury Gin, who’ll be showcasing their entire collection at the bar and restaurant.
Albert’s will be hosting a fabulous Mother’s Day three-course lunch menu for £27.50 per person on 31st March. It features all the restaurant’s classics like Albert’s Fish and Chips, Lancashire Cheese and Onion Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding. The restaurant has been closed since the beginning of January for its new transformation. The interior, designed by Space Invader Design will feature eye-catching colourways of dark green, gold and brown with lush materials such as velvet in abundance. The look is complemented with a wall of living plants separating the restaurant and bar area. Lighting is a key feature including a beautifully designed centre piece inspired by the elegance of birds singing and celebrating life designed by Umut Yama. The popular outside area will also boast a brand-new look including chairs and tables for 80 people on the terrace and up to 120 people on the lower terrace.
The Albert’s food menu will remain true to its values of providing good, honest food – locally inspired but with an eclectic mix of dishes. Customers will be able to still enjoy their firm favourites, but a new Spring update will mean there’s fresh new seasonal choices on the menu at the revamped Albert’s Didsbury.
