Zenzero Solutions announce they have been working with an NHS team in Essex to deliver a new employability programme.

Enable East is an innovative, independent NHS team dedicated to providing cost effective support, services and training to other organisations on a flexible basis.

The team successfully secured a grant from the Big Lottery Fund (BLF) and the European Social Fund (ESF) to deliver ‘HeadsUp’ - a three-year programme supporting people with mental health problems back into the workplace after long-term unemployment.

Rachel Jennings, Programme Manager at Enable East explains, “We know that a high proportion of those claiming unemployment benefits in Essex experience mental health problems. The majority of people with mental health problems want to work but the support that they need is not always available. In Essex, we have identified that there is currently a gap in terms of the support available for the largest group of people - those with common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.”

As part of HeadsUp, Enable East required a management information system to monitor the mental health outcomes of the participants. They needed to securely store participant details in a database, that could be accessed only by those who needed it, and was user friendly.

Seb Harvey, Technical Architect at Zenzero says, “We have built a cloud hosted custom solution for Enable East. The main objective of the system is to provide a secure, web based application, which will act as a comprehensive employability tracking tool and store information about the individuals seeking and engaged in work during the project.

“We utilised our platform, Neptune - which is a form builder workflow engine, that allows us to quickly configure customer solutions without the need for extensive development. We have created a secure, permission based database to allow 20 users from three partnerships to access and record this data.”

Rachel continues, “Zenzero were selected after running a rigorous procurement process to ensure that the partner we chose could not only deliver to our complex requirements, but also provide the best value. We had worked Zenzero before, so we were familiar with their friendly approach, and their ability to deliver quality solutions on time and on budget.”

Ken Baxter, Managing Director at Zenzero concludes, “We are delighted to be working with the Enable East team to support them in delivering their HeadsUp programme. Projects such as this are tremendously important to communities across the UK. It is all about delivering operational excellence; and our work demonstrates the value that technology can bring to projects, by enabling organisations to achieve their goals.”
