An expanding Worcestershire aesthetics business has been shortlisted as a finalist for a prestigious award for the quality of its treatments and customer service.

So Aesthetics, which is based in Worcester city’s Tannery Mews, is one of six finalists within the Best Midlands and Wales Clinic category as part of the 2020 Aesthetics Awards which recognises excellence across the medical aesthetics industry.

Owned by clinical director Dr Matthew Davis and registered nurse Nicola Kitchin, the business has impressed judges with its growth and the variety of skin, anti-wrinkle and non-surgical treatments it has provided for hundreds of customers since it opened in 2017.

Judging for the award will conclude in February with the winners being announced at gala ceremony planned for May.

Dr Davis said:

“It’s a huge milestone for us to be shortlisted for the award. It shows how fast the business has developed and how well received our range of treatments have been.

“Overall, it’s a testament to the hard work of our five-strong team and how we have managed to keep growing and developing the business during such a difficult year where, like many, we have had to shut our doors for weeks on end. That has meant a frustrating period but we have used the time wisely to keep improving what we can offer people who want to look and feel better.

“May’s ceremony can’t come soon enough and we hope the judges will be impressed with the range of innovative, non-surgical treatments we offer in a comfortable and safe environment.”

The news of the award comes as the clinic prepares to expand by tripling the size of its Tannery Mews base.

Through a £25,000 refurbishment, a further five new treatment and consultation rooms will open in the coming months which will allow more procedures to be offered to the clinic’s customers who travel from across the UK.

Both Dr Davis and Ms Kitchin have also worked on the front-line during the Covid-19 pandemic, with Ms Kitchin working as a nurse in hospitals across the Midlands and Wales.
