Local health and safety company, SSG Training and Consultancy, are pleased to announce the appointment of three new team members to their expanding Operations Team.

The three members include Jon Bass and Mark Fuge, both in the role of Consultant and Trainer, and Mike Loomes who will be supporting the growth of our Membership Team.

At SSG, Jon is actively involved in the delivery of training across their regional centres and conducts construction site safety inspections across the South West. He has over 24 years of hands on experience in managing both projects and safety in the construction and marine industry, at both management and site level. Jon is also a Chartered Member of IOSH, holds the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Building.

Mark has joined the Operations Team as a Health and Safety Consultant and Trainer. He has extensive experience from working for the CITB and from working as a HM Inspector for the HSE. During this time, Mark also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Regulatory Health and Safety and gained his Chartered Membership of IOSH.

Mike has also joined the Operations Team, as a trainer and support for our membership services. He works closely with all of SSG’s ADVISOR members to ensure they receive the most from their membership, providing assistance with the completion of PQQ’s such as SMAS, CHAS, EXOR and SAFE Contractor. Mike is also qualified to NEBOSH Certificate level and is working towards becoming a Chartered Safety Practitioner.
