PwC, the leading professional services firm, has once again taken to the roads, bringing together all its staff from across the UK to Ride the Nation.

Ride the Nation is PwC UK's charity cycle challenge, the inaugural event being held in May 2015. The event aims to physically connect all 30 offices in the UK network by means of a cycling relay, including offices in the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. Ride the Nation 2015 remains the single largest event of its kind the UK firm has embarked upon, raising over £150,000 for The PwC Foundation and charities local to each office, with over 700 staff taking part on their bikes with support from all grades of staff in all offices nationwide.

The event was conceived and continues to be organised and run solely by PwC staff to demonstrate the firms’ ethos of doing the right thing in our communities and what can be achieved when we work together as One Firm.

This year’s event takes place between 1stJune and 30thJune, starting and finishing in London but not before visiting all 30 PwC offices consisting of 26 different stages linking staff across the network from Aberdeen to Plymouth even the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. The event is a three layer challenge where mass participation on a local level will join riders relaying from office to office alongside a five strong national team who will cycle the entire 2000 mile route.

The West region stages are taking place on 7th and 8thJune where 54 riders will travel from Exeter to Plymouth and then up to Bristol, travelling a total of 307.3km. The riders are also expected to reach a combined overall climb of over 4000 metres.
