New Owners Bring Stoke Care Home Back To Life With HSBC UK Finance

A Stoke-on-Trent care home has been taken on by new owners following a £9 million HSBC UK finance package.


Trentham House nursing home had fallen into difficulties and required significant improvements. Using the £9 million HSBC UK finance package, the new owners, the Twigge family, bought the property in November 2018. The business will invest £1 million to renovate Trentham house and improve the facilities for both staff and residents.


The family, who own Bradwell Hall nursing home in Newcastle-under-Lyme, will use their wealth of knowledge and strong management team to restore Trentham House and expand the nursing spaces, as they have already done at Bradwell Hall.


The renovations, which begin in January and are expected to last for 12 months, will include 60 new en-suites, new carpeting across the whole property, installation of new specialist beds, mattresses, hoists and the complete re-fit of 60 rooms. Trentham House is already home to twenty residents and will see a further 70 residents move in following the completion of the renovation. The business hopes to create up to 200 jobs, including nurses, carers, kitchen staff, maintenance workers and domestic staff, and increase turnover to £3.5 million.
