Leila Goodarzi and Rebecca Fox have been promoted to partners at award-winning law firm VWV. This brings VWV's total number of partners to 86.

Leila, who joined the firm as a Trainee in 2010, will be leading the firm's Estates Tax and Trust team in Bristol, working on a broad spectrum of estate planning issues, including setting up and closing down trusts, and preparing Wills. Recently, Leila has spear-headed the development of the Legacy Protection team, working closely with VWV's Charities team to help charities maximise their legacy income and manage their reputation.

Leila is a member of the Probate Section of the Law Society. She is also a keen traveller and, before joining VWV, spent time on five of the seven continents - either studying, working or travelling.

Rebecca trained and qualified with Matthew Arnold & Baldwin (MAB) and joined VWV in 2016 with her colleagues from the Watford office. As part of the employment team, she has been key in developing the firm's employment services in the life sciences sector, as well as growing VWV's education client base from the Watford office. More recently, Rebecca has been supporting a number of businesses with the legal challenges posed by coronavirus, from advising on furlough leave and redundancy consultation, to guiding strategic decisions during this pandemic.

Recognised as a Rising Star in the Legal 500's 2020 edition, Rebecca has been described as

"exceptional", with "immense knowledge of her subject area."

Simon Heald, VWV's Managing Partner, commented:

"Congratulations to both Leila and Rebecca in their well-deserved promotions. It highlights their hard work and continued contributions to the firm in their own specialist areas. We are looking forward to working with them and strengthening our partnership at VWV during these unprecedented times."
