Anthony Collins Solicitors scooped ‘Excellence in Client Service - Private Clients’ at Birmingham Law Society’s 2021 Legal Awards.

Judges recognised the holistic approach taken by the law firm’s private legal services team when resolving cases – supporting clients on a variety of legal issues such as personal injury, clinical negligence, relationship breakdowns or childcare matters.

In its latest Social Impact Report, Anthony Collins Solicitors revealed that its private legal services team had recovered £28 million compensation for clinical negligence cases. This is alongside supporting 384 vulnerable children to find better living arrangements.

Speaking on the award win, Rankeshwar Batta, partner and head of the personal injury and clinical negligence department at Anthony Collins Solicitors, said:

“This is an enormous moment for private legal services at Anthony Collins Solicitors. The award recognises our team’s passion, determination and willingness to go above and beyond at all levels of our client service.

“We adopt a holistic approach to cases. This means that whatever the potential outcome, our goal is always to make the individual's needs the focus of our efforts. We look beyond the obvious result to ensure our work benefits individuals in every way, supporting their financial security, safety or rehabilitation.

“The team are looking forward to building on this recognition and continuing to support some of the most vulnerable people in the UK – improving lives, communities and society.”

The social law purpose law firm was also shortlisted for ‘Excellence in Client Service - Business Clients’, with ACS’ Rachel Sutcliffe in the running for Trainee Solicitor of the Year and Alice Kinder for Solicitor of the Year.

ACS’ Emma Hardman was also shortlisted for Birmingham Law Society’s Pro Bono Award.
