Jordans, one of the UK’s leading specialist legal and business services providers, continues its growth programme following its acquisition by global corporate services provider Vistra with a new senior hire.

The company, which relocated to prestigious new premises in Bristol during September 2017, has appointed Mark Craig FCIS as Associate Director to head up their recently formed Company Secretarial “Centre of Excellence”.

Mark, a Chartered Secretary with extensive experience of listed and regulated firms as well as stakeholder management, joins Jordans from Computershare where he was Senior Internal Auditor, and previously Head of Product Development.

His previous roles include Governance Manager with RBS and Assistant Company Secretary at Scottish Power plc.

Mark is also a founding member and convener of the ICSA Bristol and District Network - a group of governance professionals who regularly meet to discuss the latest developments in corporate governance. The ICSA (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators) champions good governance practices to governance professionals.

“With recent governance failures widely reported in the press, and greater compliance obligations including GDPR and the Corporate Governance Code on the horizon,” says Mark, “there are challenges ahead for companies, large and small and across all industry sectors and those of us responsible for their corporate governance.

“I look forward to helping our client companies meet those challenges head on in my new role.”

The creation of Jordans’ company secretarial “Centre of Excellence” formed part of a restructuring programme that marked its relaunch as “Jordans, a Vistra company”, designed to take advantage of emerging market opportunities.
