Bristol-based Jordans Corporate Law has further strengthened its position in the market with the appointment of Victoria McMeel as Head of Employment Law.

With more than 15 years’ experience as a specialist employment solicitor, Victoria previously worked for Top 100 law firms Veale Wasbrough Vizards and Bevan Brittan. Victoria advises on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law - including business reorganisations, executive severances, employee relations issues such as grievances and disciplinaries, drafting contractual documentation and advising on all matters relating to the transfer of employment.

Jordans Corporate Law is part of Vistra, a top four global trust, corporate and funds services provider which provides legal business solutions to a national and international client base. Recruiting Victoria signifies Jordans Corporate Law’s commitment to rapid growth and their ambitious plans for continued expansion with the resource and backing of Vistra.

“With recent employment issues such as the gender pay gap widely reported in the press,”

says Victoria,
“and greater compliance obligations including GDPR providing added pressure, there’s no doubt that companies of all sizes and across all industry sectors face increasing challenges.

“In my new role I look forward to working with our client companies to help them successfully meet those challenges head on. With Jordans now being part of Vistra, this allows my remit to become more globally focussed, which is an exciting development for my career.”

Jordans Corporate Law’s Managing Director, Debbie Farman added:

“I am delighted to welcome Victoria to the firm.

“With Victoria on board we are able to extend our offering to clients into accessible and cost-effective employment law services to accompany our ever growing corporate and commercial law offerings. She has some great ideas around our employment law offering, which with her help, and through the Vistra jurisdictional footprint, we will look to introduce locally and globally.

“Victoria’s appointment opens a whole new growth chapter for the firm – which is what our clients have been asking for. She is a fantastic addition to the JCL senior team.”

Victoria concludes,

“It’s an exciting time to be joining Jordans Corporate Law. With the company now being part of Vistra, the opportunities for providing employment law advice and services are endless.”
