Fletchers Solicitors, the UK’s leading medical negligence and serious injury law firm, has raised an impressive £5082 for Big Change Manchester to support the city’s homeless community.

15 members of the Manchester-based team completed the Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday 15 October 2017 to raise the commendable sum.

The money raised from the event will be used to help fund the Big Change services and ensure that those living on the streets or in temporary accommodation continue to receive the necessary support they need.

The firm, which now has an office based in Manchester, pledged to support the charity after becoming concerned by the sharp rise in homelessness in Manchester, particularly during the past year.

Homeless charity, Shelter, recently revealed that the number of people living on the streets or in temporary accommodation has risen by 33% since June last year.

Over the next year, all fundraising efforts made by staff members located at the Manchester office will be dedicated to Big Change.
