Includes purchase of 750 new cases from North West law firm
Manchester personal injury (PI) law firm, Express Solicitors, has acquired a further 750 PI cases from a North West law firm for £395,000, comprising a mix of Road Traffic Accident, Employers Liability and Clinical Negligence cases. The purchase of the PI cases comes fresh off the back of the acquisition of McKay’s Solicitors in Liverpool that included 1,400 cases and with organic client growth for the firm, this has increased its case load by over 21% in the final quarter of the year to over 3,000.
Over the past few years, Express Solicitor has also bought and became the successor practice for Lavin Copitch, took the caseload of Ashfields Solicitors in a pre-pack deal and purchased the PI caseload from Edward Hands and Lewis when it exited the PI marketplace.
It is the start of major expansion for the firm, which has a goal to become a market leader; the two, most recent acquisitions have helped Express to take a large stride towards this goal and takes its total caseloads to over 17,000 active cases.
