Driving efficiencies to create time and accommodate regulatory changes
Brooks Macdonald, the investment manager with £11.7 billion in funds under management (as at 31 December 2017) for clients in the UK and internationally, announces the return of its Adviser Academies taking place in April and May 2018 across 11 locations. The Brooks Macdonald Leamington Spa office will be hosting its Adviser Academy at Forest of Arden Hotel, Midlands on Wednesday 16 May 2018.
This series of structured CPD events will bring together a range of influential speakers to focus on the topics most important to the adviser community: time, efficiency and regulation, based on comments and feedback received from over 500 previous attendees. The Midlands Adviser Academy is open to financial advisers and paraplanners throughout the East and West Midlands.
The Midlands Adviser Academy will include keynote speakers from Brooks Macdonald, Kinder Institute of Life Planning, J.P. Morgan and moneyinfo:
Edward Park, Director – Investment Committee, Brooks Macdonald, will speak on capturing equity gains whilst protecting portfolios. He will explore themes that can benefit from economic growth as well as areas that can provide returns to portfolios if markets correct.
Nigel Barker-Smith and Justin King, owners of small but profitable financial planning firms, will explain why they believe Life Planning is the most important element of the financial advice process. Tips will be given on how to help clients understand what is important to them and also to inspire them to take action.
J.P. Morgan, will provide market insights, with data and commentary on global markets to inform conversations with clients.
Finally, the team from moneyinfo will tackle GDPR, explaining how the implementation of a digital strategy can demonstrate commitment to protecting personal data, and help comply with GDPR while removing significant cost from a business.
