Taunton Flower Show’s main sponsor, wealth management specialists Brewin Dolphin, entertained more than 400 guests in the company’s marquee at this year’s two-day event in Vivary Park.

Historic flower show

First held in 1831, the show is the oldest in the country and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Keen advocates of horticulture and its important health and social benefits, Brewin Dolphin annually hosts a programme of gardening events around the country and is a regular supporter and exhibitor at shows – including RHS Chelsea and RHS Chatsworth.

“We love Taunton Flower Show – and so do our clients, partners and associates who are always very keen to come along,”

said Assistant Director Rhiannon Cox, who is based in Brewin Dolphin’s Exeter office.

“Our catering was done by Food 4 You who are based in the town and I can personally vouch for the lavender shortbread which was absolutely delicious."

Patience and nurturing

Rhiannon continues:

“Gardening is an important passion for many of our clients and we believe there are several similarities between investing and gardening. Why? Because both start with an initial vision, need patience and nurturing and require a long-term approach to reap the rewards.”

Brewin Dolphin plc is one of the largest British investment management and financial planning firms with 39 offices throughout the UK and Channel Islands.
