Professional Apprenticeships, who celebrate their fifth birthday this April, have launched their new Somerset Apprenticeship Academy based in Victoria House, Taunton.

The company was founded by two former apprentices Adam Rooke and Carina Bush, both born and bred in South Bristol.

With an increase in apprenticeship requirement within the Somerset area, Carina is delighted that they can make this service expansion,

“We’ve been planning the move into Somerset for some time due to a real need for providers in the area. The more rural areas of the Southwest tend to have less apprenticeships offered, and we plan to change that in Somerset. We will be raising the profile of apprenticeships for both employers and apprentices alike”.

Professional Apprenticeships are promoting apprenticeships in a big way this year, not letting lockdown become a barrier to people getting involved. They are hosting digital open days, interviews with guest employers and apprentices plus ramping up their social media with apprentice takeovers.

The company delivers apprenticeships in Business, Digital Marketing, IT and various Management Qualifications. And government funding is available to put existing staff through the training as well.

When asked about the company’s success Carina said,

“We are a company that is built by apprentices for apprentices so are extremely passionate about what we do. I love that we are able to give other people the opportunities we had whilst also helping the local economy”.
