National training provider, 3aaa Apprenticeships are hosting a business breakfast event on Tuesday 21st February 2017 at their Birmingham training academy in The McLaren building.

It will explore changes to funding, what the Apprenticeship Levy means to employers and how qualifications and courses are being adapted with the introduction of Apprenticeship Standards.

The Apprenticeship Levy will affect all companies in the United Kingdom with a payroll of £3 million or more and will see a monthly deduction of 0.5% of the total payroll bill for Apprenticeship training. These companies have two choices; they can either utilise this deduction to maximise their internal training potential or they can simply class it as a loss.

This event starts at 7:30am through to 10:00am and is due to explore key parts of the Apprenticeship Reforms, which take effect from April 2017.

In preparation for the Apprenticeship Reforms, 3aaa Apprenticeships have developed a new arm to their highly successful business, dedicated to Apprenticeship Levy Management. This now forms a key part of business strategy for their company and carries the key focus on high quality at the heart of delivery procedures. They are continuing to work with their clients across England to deliver Apprenticeship Levy solutions up to and beyond April 2017, which ensures their clients are fully prepared for implementation and to maximise their return on investment.

Cathryn Connell, Business Manager at the Birmingham 3aaa Apprenticeships academy added: “This event is a fantastic opportunity for businesses in and around Birmingham to learn about the Apprenticeship Levy. As training and development is a key part of the modernised Industrial Strategy and with the Birmingham 3aaa Apprenticeships academy at the heart of the Midlands Engine, we will play a key part in the UK prospering post-Brexit, as we support the local economy with their skills development plans.”

There will also be an opportunity for like-minded businesses to network and discuss their implementation plans for the Apprenticeship Levy and share best practices.
