Abbey Manchester Artist Celebrates National Success

Gifted artist and Abbey College Manchester student Jedidah, has been awarded for her remarkable creative talent in a highly-respected national art challenge.


Jedidah (17), who studies A Level Art, Geography and Business at the leading independent college celebrated a much-coveted second place prize at this year’s ISA National Art Competition for her masterpiece, ‘New Normal’. Her award-winning entry featured a colourful portrait of an individual wearing a face mask, with admirable attention to detail.


In securing her place at the highly-anticipated final, talented Jedidah excelled in the annual regional heat where she fought off tough competition from other schools to take home the esteemed first place prize in the Key Stage 5 Drawing category.


Abbey College Principal, Chris Randell, commented:

“Jedidah is exceptionally talented and we are delighted that her hard work and creativity has been recognised with this prestigious accolade. With aspirations to study Fine Art at university, we look forward to seeing and hearing about her future successes.

Events such as the ISA Art Competition presents our students with the perfect occasion to put their skills into practice and illustrate their creative flair.”


The ISA National Art Competition is an annual opportunity for schools and colleges to showcase the outstanding work of their students. There are many categories that cover different age groups and genres, from 2D art and drawing, to photography and fashion.
