Circadian Trust, the not-for-profit organisation that runs South Gloucestershire’s Active Lifestyle Centres, has been awarded the ‘Best Companies to Work For’ accreditation.

Best Companies is the standard for workplace engagement and measures how engaged people are at work and how they feel about their employer. Circadian Trust has been earmarked as ‘One to Watch’, a special status awarded to organisations where workplace engagement shows promising signs for the future.

Jill Cooksley, Head of HR at Circadian Trust, said:

“This accreditation really does focus on where our employees are and aren’t engaged with our business. It also helps us to understand what would motivate them to be more engaged. This is crucial in a business like ours where human interactions are at the core of the services we provide, and staff disengagement leads to customer dissatisfaction.

“This level of accreditation demonstrates good levels of employer employee engagement. However, we will not rest on our laurels – we will use the results to develop strategies and tools to further improve our levels of staff engagement. We recognise this is instrumental in continuing to improve as an employer of choice and vital to the drive to offer the best service to our customers.”

Jonathan Austin, CEO & Founder of Best Companies, added:

“I would like to congratulate Circadian Trust on their achievement. Best Companies have been producing the accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Circadian Trust has continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a best company to work for.”

There are currently five Active Lifestyle Centres operated by Circadian Trust across South Gloucestershire - in Bradley Stoke, Kingswood, Longwell Green, Thornbury and Yate.
