Generous property professionals from across the Midlands raised over £3,000 for children and adults with movement disorders, at a popular annual charity music event in Birmingham.

Overbury’s seventh Fit Out Charity Music Night saw 260 people from the commercial property sector dance the night away at Saint Pauls House in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.

A string of popular hits were performed on-stage by Overbury’s house band, Ohio, and a revolving cast of 14 budding vocalists and musicians, including property consultants, surveyors and architects from companies such as RLB, Fellows Consultants and Cushman & Wakefield.

The event raised funds for NICE – Centre for Movement Disorders, a local charity dedicated to providing a range of flexible services for children and adults with movement disorders and their families, through the delivery of Conductive Education. NICE, a charity also supported by The Office Agents Society, works with anyone who has a movement disorder, including those living with brain injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s.

It was the latest charity fundraiser organised by office fit out and refurbishment specialist, Overbury, whose team has raised tens of thousands of pounds for causes in the past seven years, including: Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Acorns Children’s Hospice and Solihull Young Carers.

“We decided to support NICE, following a visit to the charity’s centre in Birmingham, where we witnessed first-hand the amazing work they do for people with neurological movement disorders. It is a real pleasure to raise funds on their behalf.

“Huge thanks must go to my Overbury colleague, Amanda Franks, for organising such a terrific event, as well as all of the musicians who volunteered to perform and everyone who donated. This is the seventh year we’ve held the charity music night and it continues to be extremely well supported by people from across the commercial property sector.”
