Bristol-based National Friendly has won a second community award for its work in and around Bristol, the LifeSearch 2022 “Doing Good” award.

The awards ceremony took place in London on 2nd March. The award was won after the judges considered the work the Society has done over the past 12 months across a diverse range of community initiatives, including strategies to ward off loneliness amongst the over 60s, supporting creative learning programmes in Bristol schools, collaborating with Children’s Hospice South West and helping to fund long Covid research at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

Revealing the award win, Graham Singleton, CEO at National Friendly said

“We are thrilled to announce that National Friendly has won this major award for our community work in and around Bristol. As a mutual organisation, the people in our community are at the centre of our ethos and our community activities have been shown to make a real difference to the vulnerable in our society. This award is also a tribute to our team here at National Friendly who tirelessly work to raise funds every year in support of local causes.”

LifeSearch is an award winning financial services company specialising in advising on life insurance and protection policies. It was founded 20 years ago with a mission to sell more ethically. Winners of their awards need to demonstrate to the judges a genuinely innovative and fresh new approach to community and charity support.
