Solihull based homebuilder David Wilson Homes Mercia is celebrating after reaching a milestone in their fundraising efforts for Help Harry Help Others.
The developer has raised over £70,000 for the charity over the last two years, which aims to support children with cancer and their families, through a range of fundraising events.
Most recently David Wilson Homes held a golf day which raised £7,500 to put them over the £70,000 milestone.
The developer is now planning their annual sportsman dinner on the 5th October, which still has tables available for those wanting to attend and contribute towards the worthy cause and is hoping to continue their fundraising success.
Help Harry Help Others was started by Harry Moseley from Birmingham. Harry raised money to help others by making and selling bracelets online, whilst suffering from cancer himself. He sadly died in 2011, aged just 11.
Georgie Moseley, Founder of Help Harry Help Others and Harry’s mum, said:
“I am overwhelmed by the support of all the management and staff at David Wilson Homes. It has been wonderful to work with them over the last two years and their fundraising has really supported the charity. “I look forward to their future fundraising efforts and thank all involved in raising the money so far.”
The charity offers practical help to families affected by cancer, professional support for children with cancer and also funds research to find a cure for brain tumours.
