Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) is inviting Bristol businesses to help in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia by conquering one of the seven wonders of the natural world – Kilimanjaro.

MRF is an international charity with its headquarters in central Bristol. For the first time in the charity’s history, MRF is forming a select band of intrepid explorers to embark on an exclusive trek to the top of the world in October 2017.

Meningitis and septicaemia are devastating diseases which can kill in hours, leaving some survivors with life-changing after effects and disabilities. By taking part, your contribution will enable MRF to fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia, provide life-saving awareness information and support people who have lost a loved one or are coping with after effects.

It’s an opportunity for companies in Bristol to support their local charity, to make a real difference and to visit unimagined worlds.

Together, the group will make their way through the tropical rain forests of the Lemosho Glades, catching the first sight of the ultimate goal – Uhuru, the 5,895m high ice-capped peak of Kilimanjaro. They'll be camping under starlight, as the trek ascends through cloud level via the stunningly beautiful Machame Route on this six-day adventure.
