Third time Grand Appeal trail sponsor, Dunkley’s Chartered Accountants, welcomed their Gromit sculpture Cupid with a wine and cheese evening last week.

Cupid, a paisley printed, valentine-inspired Gromit is on display on Woodlands Lane, Bradley Stoke in support of Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Special Care Baby Unit at St Michael’s Hospital until Sunday 2nd September 2018.

The wine and cheese inspired launch event was held outside their office on Woodlands Grange to make sure Cupid was the star of the show!

Alongside Cupid, the evening was filled with over 120 guests, 3 Shaun in the City sculptures (Queenie, King Arthur and the Beafeater), Gromberry (from the initial Gromit Unleashed trail) and Mr Sprinkles (Dunkley’s hand painted Gorilla sculpture from the Wow Gorilla trail). As you can imagine it was quite a show.

Amongst the guests were clients, friends, professional contacts as well as the Mayor of Bradley Stoke, Ben Randles and Cupid’s artist, Blossom and Brush.

The evening was a celebration of Dunkley’s involvement with the Gromit Unleashed 2 arts trail but also within the local community. Ben Randles, the Bradley Stoke Mayor officially welcomed the Gromit for the firm with an official ribbon cutting ceremony.

Local businesses also showed their involvement to the trail by providing guests with prizes to be won. The 5 prizes were kindly donated by Young Bristol, Royal Raj, Romy’s Kitchen, Double Tree by Hilton and Café Gusto.

The event was a massive success filled with celebration, laughter and a lot of cheese (of course!).

It is true to say that Dunkley’s, all the guests and local community have all fallen in love with Cupid!

“Thank you, Nicole, all the Dunkleys owners and staff for the excellent hospitality provided last Thursday evening at the Gromit Unleashed event held outside your offices. It was a very enjoyable event and it was impressive to see all the other Gromits and gorillas from Dunkley clients and contacts all collected together in one place. Thank you so much for the invitation and well done for organising such a splendid occasion.”
