This year’s event to raise money for Malcolm Gunter Foundation

Bristol’s professionals will be swimming, cycling and running for charity again this year at the annual Colliers Bristol TRYathlon.

Each year competitors undertake a 400m swim, 16km cycle and 5km run, either as individuals or in teams of three, with all the money raised going to a good cause.

This year’s TRYathlon, the seventh, takes place at Tockington Manor School near Bristol on Friday, May 31, with proceeds going to the Malcolm Gunter Foundation.

Malcolm Gunter was a prominent Bristol property professional for over 30 years with firms including Chesterton and Williams Gunter Hardwick, of which he was a co-founder. He was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2017 and died the following year.

The Malcolm Gunter Foundation (www.malcfoundation.co.uk) was set up to support Malcolm’s family and others in their situation, and to fund further research into the disease.

Nick Williams, Director in the Building Surveying and Project Management team at Colliers International in Bristol, who is organising this year’s event, said:

“The Colliers Bristol TRYathlon has grown bigger every year, selling out on each occasion. This year we are hoping to attract even more children and families, and in particular people who have never completed a triathlon.”

Tim Davies, head of the South West and Wales at Colliers International, added:

“Malcolm Gunter was a popular and well respected colleague in the region’s commercial property sector for many years and we are delighted to be supporting the charity founded in his name.”

It costs £90 to enter a relay team for this year’s Colliers Bristol TRYathlon or £40 to enter as an individual. Entry is open to anyone over the age of 16. To register please visit www.k2sports-uk.com/events-competition
