B&M Waste Services Support Local Hospice – and the Environment – Over Christmas

Carbon Neutral and family-run waste management business, B&M Waste Services, will be supporting Wirral Hospice St John’s this Christmas by providing free resources and transportation for the charity’s annual Christmas Tree Collection Appeal.

Every year after the festive period, the hospice aims to collect as many real Christmas trees from Wirral residents to ensure they’re properly recycled – in exchange for a monetary donation. This useful community service scheme helps the charity provide specialist end of life care and support for patients and their loved ones at their time of most need. It also ensures that trees are not thrown out or dumped in a way that negatively affects the local environment.

B&M Waste Services will be providing the assistance of four operatives and two vans to ensure the collections run smoothly and efficiently – without the hospice being financially impacted.

Elaine Connell, Fundraising Co-Ordinator for Wirral Hospice St John’s, said;

“Every year our wonderful Wirral community supports us by making a kind donation to have their real, pine Christmas trees collected. For our army of volunteers, it’s a lot of fun and a great way to work off the Christmas pudding! We’re extremely grateful to everyone who supports Wirral Hospice St John’s at this time of year through their donations, by giving up their valuable time to help with the collections and, of course, for the use of their vans.”

B&M Director, Paul Curtis, added;

"We truly believe in supporting the local communities in which we operate and aim to do as much as we can to contribute. With our headquarters in Wirral – and recognising the incredible work undertaken by Wirral Hospice St John’s – we jumped at the chance to offer our support of the Christmas Tree Collection Appeal.”
