One of the UK’s most dynamic lifesaving registered charities has again received a £1,000 donation from a leading UK housebuilder.

Arrive Alive has been named a Persimmon Homes Community Champions, a match funding scheme that gives away more than £700,000 to local and regional good causes. The charity previously received funding from the scheme in 2017.

Debbie Roscoe, from Arrive Alive, said:

“We are thrilled to have received this funding from Persimmon Homes Central. The service we help to provide to the local community is vital as just a few seconds can be the difference between life and death.

“Arrive Alive is dedicated to providing and developing voluntary operated emergency medical assistance within communities in those vital seconds/minutes prior to a road or air ambulance.

“The charity funds vital lifesaving vehicles and equipment for Community First Responder (CFR) groups who attend life threatening medical emergencies. CFRs are groups of unpaid individuals who attend 999 calls. CFRs receive lifesaving medical training from the ambulance service although equipment and vehicles are not funded by the government or ambulance service."

Sarah Read, Head of Sales for Persimmon Homes Central, said:

“We are extremely pleased to again be able to support this wonderful charity. The service they provide to the community is second to none with their work actively reducing the response time for emergency support to arrive.

“We are passionate about the communities we build in and offer our Community Champions’ scheme as a way to support charities and groups in these areas. I’m pleased to see this money going to the hardworking Arrive Alive.”

Other charities and groups are encouraged to apply for match-funding by filling in the quick and easy form on the company’s website at www.persimmonhomes.com/charity.
