Solihull private hire coach and chauffeur services company LandFlight is spreading its wings after investing more than £320,000 adding two new luxury vehicles to its fleet.

Established more than 40 years ago as a family business which formerly traded as Silverline, LandFlight has grown to become a leading provider of regional transport services such as airport transfers and day hires, along with group travel programmes for business and private hire.

The company, which counts City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO), Qatar Airways and Jaguar Land Rover among its clients, had been using its executive coaches, buses, cars and people carriers to full capacity.

However, thanks to funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial, the West Midlands business has been able to add two new Mercedes Turas 900 coaches to its impressive 28-vehicle fleet.

LandFlight director Akhtar Ali said: “Our business has been growing steadily over recent years, to the point where we needed to expand our fleet of vehicles. The support from Santander has been invaluable, allowing us to purchase two new coaches which, in turn, means we can take on even more new customers and contracts.”

Dalia Ahmed, relationship director at Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: “LandFlight has been extremely successful in offering a high quality service to both businesses and private individuals, which is reflected in their need to expand the fleet. We are confident we will see the business continue to go from strength to strength.”
