North East motor dealer Vic Young Conversions has come up with the ideal solution for transporting food and medicine in a germ-free way.

The vehicle in question is the fully electric Nissan e-NV200, converted by Vic Young to a high roof van that provides a height increase of over 350mm on the standard model. Why is this so relevant you ask? This van is lined with panels that allow the transportation of food and medicine in a manner that fully complies with hygiene regulations.

In these times of COVID, it is essential that life-saving medicines and much needed hospital equipment be transported quickly and efficiently; this vehicle guarantees that it will be. The elephant in the room here of course is the vaccine for COVID, something that requires a hygiene-friendly mode of delivery.

Vic Young have delivered a van with anti-slip flooring, easy to wash panelling and a generous amount of added space courtesy of the ‘roof pod’. Vic Young, Managing Director at the company said

“I am incredibly proud of our continuous contribution to the electric vehicle market. This high roof van is the next step forward as it is both environmentally and hygienically friendly.”

The ergonomic qualities of the electric conversion can be measured- the internal height (floor to pod) is 1705mm; the external height (ground to top of pod) is 2163mm. The combination of hygiene efficiency and a 7 cubic metre volume makes this van an ideal solution to delivering much needed supplies and medicines during the current pandemic situation.

As well as the high roof Nissan e-NV200, Vic Young Conversions are responsible for a suite of fully electric vans including box vans, wheelchair accessible taxis, crew cabs, refrigeration vans and tippers, all converted from standard Nissan e-NV200 models. These vehicles have a range of up to 187 miles and come with a 5-year/100,000-mile warranty for design and manufacturer defects.

This vehicle complies with:

  • GDP (2013/C343/01) Medicine Transport Standards
  • (H.A.C.C.P CE 852/2004) Food Transport Standards
