Bristol investment management firm Quilter Cheviot has struck a deal to sponsor the very first BBC Countryfile Live, a major new countryside event that will bring Britain’s most watched factual television show to life.

Hosted within the spectacular grounds of Oxfordshire’s historic World Heritage site Blenheim Palace, BBC Countryfile Live will showcase the very best of British countryside.

Quilter Cheviot, which employs 15 people at its Bristol office, is to be the first headline sponsor for the event, which takes place from August 4 to 7 this year.

The event will combine the tradition of the UK’s best county fairs with the quality editorial and presentation of one of the BBC’s most watched programmes, giving visitors the opportunity to explore every aspect of the British countryside.

There will be live arena shows, talks, hands-on activities, animal displays, farming in action and shopping from more than 600 exhibitors.

The head of the Bristol office of Quilter Cheviot, James Rodgers, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring BBC Countryfile Live in the spectacular setting of Blenheim Palace. As investment advisers we have a close affinity with Britain’s rural communities and its farming industry. Our partnership with Countryfile Live will enable us to support and celebrate all that the Great British countryside has to offer.”

Tim Etchells, Managing Director of SME London, organisers of BBC Countryfile Live, said: “I have been involved with a number of major consumer launch shows over the last 35 years including the BBC Good Food Show and British International Motor Show, but what we’ve experienced over the last few months has been amazing. With over 300 major lifestyle brands and independent retailers already committed and numerous enquiries coming in on a daily basis, it will be one of the most exciting launches we’ve ever worked on.”

Mr Etchells continued: “We are extremely excited to announce that investment management specialist, Quilter Cheviot, has become headline sponsor of BBC Countryfile Live. To have, already, this major support from a quality organisation with such history is of huge significance to the success of the event, and indicative of the love Britain has for the Countryfile brand.”
