The shortlists have been unveiled for the 2022 Yorkshire Property Industry Awards, and we are proud to announce that we have been shortlisted for Consultancy of the Year!

We are so pleased that our company and our growing team of professionals within our multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy have been recognised as a contender and look forward to attending the awards together with hundreds of representatives from the businesses that are shaping the built environment around us, showcasing the best of the region's property industry.

Why have we been shortlisted?

We have substantial experience in the delivery of all types of developments, including major infrastructure projects, residential housing schemes and renewable energy programs, across a broad range of environmental disciplines, including Planning, Hydrology and Drainage, Permitting and Regulation, Landscape, Ecology, Transport, Geo-Environmental and Hydrogeology, Noise and Vibration, Air Quality and Arboriculture. View our website – www.enzygo.com for more info.

Our growing team of professionals, including a number with a background in business, local and authority and regulatory organisations, use a collaborative approach to devise solutions that are respectful of technical and budgetary constraints, comply with industry guidance, whilst also fulfilling planning and commercial aspirations.

In relation to our internal functions, we now have regular mental health seminars for all staff to access with an opportunity for 1 to 1 sessions should staff require this, both of which have been well received and appreciated by our staff, with the importance of mental health being central to our staff’s work and personal wellbeing.

We support 2 charities and regularly fundraise to ensure valuable funds are raised. We also undertake voluntary work eg: tree planning. We have found that this provides benefits to the local landscape and environment as well as providing essential confidence and team building skills amongst our staff.

We have recently started a staff appreciation initiative, ‘I heard a Wispa’, whereby staff nominate a member of staff who has done something positive or has worked particularly well at a certain task. That person then received a Wispa bar with the reason for their nomination, with one of the nominated staff receiving a gift voucher! We have found that this promotes a feeling of appreciation and reward amongst staff and has been positively received.

What are this year’s highlights?

Our apprentice Lewis Whitworth being shortlisted in the South Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards 2022. Lewis plays a key role within a variety of teams at Enzygo, working hard to build up his knowledge and experience in different areas of the business, drawing on his knowledge gained on his college course, and confidently putting his knowledge into action within the workplace.

We have recently extended our Planning team into our Manchester Office, with the appointment of an Associate Director of Planning, with a further expansion of this team being planned in order to increase our business reach.

Our Arboriculture Team has also seen an expansion, which has allowed us to take on contracts further afield including a recent large project in Cumbria and Wales.

Millie Croft, who was originally taken on under the Government’s Kick Start Scheme will shortly join the staff as an Environmental Consultant. We are proud of Millie’s progress and her knowledge gained throughout her role so far and look forward to watching her progress in her new role.

We are proud to have now been in business for 14 years. We are shortly planning to celebrate 5 years of operating from the Manchester Office, as well as 7 years from our Fox Valley office in Sheffield.
